The Phyllis and Robert Tyson Library
The Library of the Tehran Center for Psychoanalytic Studies is a rich and valuable collection of important reference works in the history of psychoanalysis, donated to the center by Phyllis and Robert Tyson. Robert Tyson is an American psychoanalyst and retired member of the San Diego Psychoanalytic Center, who graduated from Yale and Columbia universities and has devoted over forty years to clinical and educational work. His wife, Phyllis Tyson, a recognized child, and adolescent psychoanalyst, graduated from UC Berkeley. The two published the book Psychoanalytic Theories of Development together in 1991.
These experienced psychoanalysts generously donated their personal library, which includes over 1600 specialized books, to the Tehran Center for Psychoanalytic Studies; a feat that would not have been possible without the support of Dee Wyman.
This collection is available for study by researchers at the Tehran Center for Psychoanalytic Studies.
